The
mission of the Chicago Bible Society, written over 100 years ago, is to "distribute the Bible and foster its serious
reading." Today the circumstances have changed, but the mission remains the same.
Chicago Bible Society works with all Christians - Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant -
to increase understanding and access to God's Word through distribution to prisons, hospitals and other institutions, and
by sponsoring Bible study and education programs.
